Wonderful movie for any young girl (Mom enjoyed it too). Especially if you have one who enjoys the outdoors and nature herself!

Excellent plot. The only thing that was wrong was the corn. That is not seed corn, needs to be called sweet corn as that is picked green. Seed corn would of been dried leaves and ripe, sold as seed, not ears. Other than that, great.

This touching story is an excellent tool for prompting discussion with young ladies regarding a wide range of valuable topics: forgiveness, the value of learning and intelelctual curiosity, and most of all from my perspective the value of perseverance.
My only two (2) reasons for not giving it five (5) stars are that there was no significant mentioning of the role of faith and there was a lack of balanced presentation of both sides of 'environmental' issues in that only the envrionmental protections need for natural habitats was presented without explanations as to positive sides of harvesting wood for homes, indsutry.
