After 11-year old James Ross is cut from his baseball team, he organizes his own team and talks his school’s custodian, Mack Henry, into coaching it. When Mack’s coaching miraculously turns the group of misfits into a winning team, Jason becomes convinced Mack is the legendary Negro League baseball player Buck McHenry. But before Jason can learn the truth, both he and Mack will have to make some life changing decisions.
