 | WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING: See what people are saying in your area! My 3-year-old daughter, Rosie, loved watching this film with our family. She watched with great concern to see if anybody was going to hurt Tillie’s new friend, a dragon named Herman. It was fun watching Rosie figure out that Tillie and Herman’s friendship would triumph over the panicky townsfolk. The older kids were more interested in seeing if the finagling mayor would get his just deserts. Its colorful animation and fun story line make this film a great choice for small kids and the young at heart.

We recieved this movie as a Christmas gift along with another movie for us and our son, but I was disappointed with this one for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that our son lost interest within about 10 minutes and the second reason is because I lost interest too. I did keep watching to the end just to see how the story would unfold, and I think that Tillie and her dragon are cute and the messages
about "differences" and "friendship" are valuable, but I'm glad I didn't buy this one and I feel sorry that my mom did.

My son (2.5 years old) seemed bored and lost interest watching this movie. It took too long to develop.

My son adores this movie. He watches it at least once a day. The story line is so nice. I love how educational the film is for him. He has learned that different doesn't mean bad, but he also notices differences in others and embraces those qualities.

My grand sons and my teens loved this story. In fact, I did too. Films for Families has been supplying my families entertainment since my children were small, now my grandchildren are enjoying them also.
Thank You for the wonderful value and films you put out.
Sincerely,

Endearing characters and a good story line got us more involved as we watched. At the end, we were dismayed that in order to fulfill the moral of the story "Friends always stick together", the friends put forth a charade of lies. Sure, they are true to their friends, and they bring their town out of economic ruin, but they are lying to everyone, and taking all tourists' money for those lies. Even a small child can see they're up to no good because the bad mayor is so desperate to make the scheme work. Sticking up for your friends is only right when you are also sticking up for truth. The Tale of Tillie's Dragon is a child's retelling of how the Enron scandal happened!
