A top NASA scientist, Wilhelm Von Huber, is too involved in the race to space to pay much attention to his young son Billy. Billy finds refuge from his loneliness when he befriends a chimp being trained for space flight. When Billy discovers a plot to sabotage the chimp’s flight, he’s forced to go to his father for help. To save the chimp, Billy and his father will have to learn to work together.
